The Yamacraw Kid’s Race is approximately 1 mile / 1.6 KM out and back course. It begins and ends at the tipple bridge at Blue Heron. The trails are relatively flat with very little elevation gain.
The run is open to kids age 12 and under.
*Children 6 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire race.
Race Day Check-in for the Kid’s Race will be take place at Blue Heron Mining Community from 7:00 to 7:50 am.
All Kid’s Race finishers will receive a unique finisher award.
The Kid’s Race will be marked with BLUE ribbons. Markings will be spaced maximum every .2 mile with more heavily markings at any turn or crossing trail. The race organizers will do everything they can to have the course marked well for race participants the day of the event. During the on trail sections of the course, runners must stay on the trail. No switchback cutting!
Just a final note, while the course will be marked, these trails will still remain open to the public. Please be courteous to all park visitors.
